Academics: I loved my experience at Southern. I found that most of my professors cared about me on a personal level and worked toward incorporating Christian principles and perspectives into the simplest of subjects--which is ideally what you're looking for when enrolling at an Adventist university. The workload may seem like a lot at times (it is college), but handling it is all about time management. Once I learned to prioritize and schedule classes, sleeping, eating, exercising, extracurricular activities, and socialization properly (yes, all those things will affect how you perceive the difficulty/ease of the academics), I found the perfect balance and I had time to do some of everything. Southern doesn't make it impossible to excel academically but they will challenge you and push you to learn. There will be projects, research papers, presentation, and even study tours to help you along the way. Take advantage of them all and learn as much as you can!

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I am quite satisfied with my quality of education so far.

4 College Junior

Academics: The teachers in my department are great! They are very excited about their field and it is contagious. They are always willing to talk and help me find opportunities.
