4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I have been attending South Mountain Community College ever since I was a sophomore in high school due to a scholarship I received called 'ACE'. Now that I have graduated from high school and still kept on attending South Mountain, things have been great! I received the presidential scholarship at South and this has helped me through my financial struggles. I love the small classes and the one on one communication with the teachers and the fact that they are so flexible and helpful for every student. Of course, I have many struggles such as trying to pass all my science classes this semester.

Overall Experience: My school experience has varied between okay and bad. I am not sure if I would choose this school again of I could do everything all over. I know that I would have picked different classes than the ones I had chosen initially so I could either get different teachers or make it easier to accomplish the courses.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: The online courses are average. Some classes should be avoided taking online such as Statistics.

Academic Flexibility: It is best to register as early as possible as the class schedules can get scattered throughout the day.

Campus Resources: Getting a computer at the computer lab isn't too difficult although there are times where it can be crowded. If the computer lab isn't available you can go to the nearby library and go on the computers. You will have to pay for printing if using the library computers.

Campus Resources: Since is a small school everything is close by. You may have to wait a long time to meet an advisor because of the large student body in a small school.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Depending on where you live you probably won't need a car to get there.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: The typical student body is no different than if you were at any other college. Due to the small nature of the school the amout of students hanging around varies from the day of the week and the time.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The amount of work put into it is probably no different than from other schools.

Career Services: There are some pamphlets at the student center that you can get for assistance and you can also talk to counselors.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office is somewhat helpful though it could improve. The amount for books that you sometimes hardly ever use is ridiculous and it is better to order them somewhere else. The quality of education for the price varies from class to class.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library is state of the art, with plenty of study rooms, computers and librarians to assist you.The student center is nice and clean, and you can watch tv or play games.

Campus Resources: The computer labs always have computers available. The network is great and the speed is great. I receive a $40 credit each semester for printing.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am currently taking my core classes before I can actually get started in the details of my major.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My classes are very affordable and going through the financial aid process was very easy. I did all of my financial aid online and only visited the financial aid office if I had questions.

4 College Junior

Student Body: There are various cultures of people at my school and everyone seems to get along well.

3 College Junior

Career Services: There is a career center but I have not utilized it as of yet.

Academic Flexibility: My teachers were very flexible and understanding if I had to miss a class. They were also very helpful with the curriculum and things that I did not understand.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I never had to deal with any of that so I can't say whether it was good or bad.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Never got involved in anything so I can't really say anything. However the campus is beautiful and visually pleasing.
