College Sophomore

Drug Safety: LOTS of stoners and alcoholic students. There is easy access to most substances. Policy enforcement is strict, but there aren't enough people to enforce it, so it seems fairly random. They publish incident rates in the student paper, which is almost comical.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Most of the students here are conservative so very few students get drunk. Not much drug use or danger.

2 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: The smell of weed is always in the air.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: A little while back Brookings, SD was ranked as the fifth drunkest city in the U.S. Since Brookings is a college town its pretty easy to see where all the drinking is coming from (college students).

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I have not witnessed the 'drug scene' personally, but I've heard from several people that it is out there and apparent on campus. Alcohol, definitely, is more abundant and noticeable. A lot of underage drinking occurs, not necessarily on campus. In the city, there are many parties, etc. Peer pressure is not a problem that I have noticed. Most people accept it if you choose not to drink.
