3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Siena's not really a drug school- mostly just drinking

2 College Freshman

Nightlife: The night life sucks- town houses aren't fun unless you know anyone here. Otherwise you're sitting in the dorms drinking- that's it.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Financial aid was helpful, I received a good amount of money from Siena.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletes are treated like gold here- if they get in trouble they're let off, they can get away with almost anything because they're on a sports team. It's ridiculous. There are basketball games everyone loves to go to and such which are fun.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Students here go to UAlbany to go out and also RPI, which is nearby.

2 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Public safety does a great job keeping students safe here on campus- sometimes it's too much. They take their jobs very seriously and you literally can't have fun here because you're always worrying about if public safety is gonna come. Also you can't have a guest unless you sign them in. One time I didn't get to print my boyfriend's overnight pass out before he got here and the public safety officer said that he needed to see some sort of identification and proof he was my guest, and would not let us go until he had it. How was I supposed to prove that if I didn't have the chance to print out the pass yet?

1 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: They don't allow you to move off campus-for anyone who was originally living on campus. They only want your money

2 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorms are okay. They're an okay size but they're old and outdated. The bathrooms are always disgusting especially girls.

3 College Freshman

Computers: You get free printing in the computer labs and library, etc. If you bring your own laptop and printer it makes things easier.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I've never been anywhere off campus besides Panera Bread and Applebees- but I've heard its good.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The health and safety staff are very willing to help and are always there when you need them. They take their jobs very seriously, which is great.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It's usually really cold during the winter, but the spring time is really nice. It's a small campus so walking to class isn't that big of a deal.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: The transportation at my school isn't great. As a freshman, we're not allowed to have cars on campus because there isn't a lot of parking- and therefore we barely get off campus. The town is about a mile down the road, which is not too far, however when it's freezing cold out nobody wants to walk there. There are taxis around here that are ridiculously expensive and cost anywhere from $20-$30 when it's a five minute drive down the road. We're poor college students- we don't have that type of money!! The campus shuttle every weekend is ok. It only goes to the mall and Walmart- that's it. So if you don't have any money to spend there is no point of really going anywhere-hence you're trapped on campus.

Academics: Siena College has a great business program, especially for what I would like to do with my future. I plan to become an accountant, and I am also minoring in Environmental Studies, as it is something I am very passionate about. However, Siena's academic programs are great, and they are widely known across the East Coast. I have not yet started taking courses towards my major, however, the classes I have been taking (the core classes), are great classes and I have learned a lot. There is a lot of work associated with these classes, and I spend a lot of time studying and doing homework. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and would do a lot to help students with whatever they need. As for internships, I have not applied to any yet because I'm only a college freshman and I would like to get some accounting classes out of the way first before starting any internships, however, I plan to work a lot this summer and save for study abroad. As far as I know, Siena has a great career center that is willing to help when it comes for searching for internships and jobs, which I will take advantage of.

5 College Sophomore

Weather: Snow has hindered some class activities.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The campus lacks in diversity; in fact, I see few minorities during a typical day. With that being said, the minority groups are accepted as far as I can tell.

4 College Freshman

Computers: Printing on campus is built into tuition so there are no limits on the amount that you can print. Computer labs are usually pretty available, but it is nice to have the flexibility of having your own computer. The network and wireless aren't the greatest, but they get the job done and are usually relatively reliable.
