3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Nothing really stands out as "unique," but I'm only a part-time evening student.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The professor for my microbiology course is excellent. Microbiology is the only course I've taken at Shelton State so far. the material is difficult, as expected, but Dr. Rose does a great job of presenting the material in an understandable and accessible way.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I haven't officially started the SDN program yet, but from what I've heard from other students, the quality of the program is excellent and RNs graduating from the program have very good chances of finding a job immediately.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: So far I've only informally discussed post-graduation career and school options with the ADN program director. She has been very helpful and a good resource for career and education network contacts.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The felxibility for my prerequisite classes for the nursing program has been great. I only wish the ADN program itself offered more flexible scheduling options, such as an evening program.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I wish the school accepted student loans programs. Even though the tuition isn't very expensive, it's still difficult to manage the cost of tuition when you don't qualify for any grants and scholarships are limited.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: There seem to be a lot of career-oriented students returning to school to further their job opportunities.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: For a small community college, the resources are excellent!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The compluter labs are up to date and reliable wireless.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: I'm not currently taking any online courses.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Shelton doesn't allow student loans so if your like me and aren't eligible for financial aid and broke its not a good idea unless you get a scholarship for music, athletics or ambassador scholarship. If you get financial aid its cheap and a quality two year education for less..

2 Recent Alumnus

Online Courses: From my experience with my one class its not for me. I only have one online class the rest are at the intuition and it sucks. The due times of the assignments are just a bad time especially since I both work and go to school everyday. If your good at teaching yourself and have a lot of time to read its a great option.

Career Services: There are some good people in the career center who will help you but there are some who are no help.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: They have the best Nursing Instructors in the state.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It can be tiring with the registration process.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Its a great school and they are usually pretty up to date with technology.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: My experience at Shelton has been wonderful!

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The school is good. The money is the problem since I am not able to receive much finical aid.

4 College Junior

Career Services: They have a beneficial job center to help you find jobs.

4 College Junior

Facilities: I love the social science. Its beautiful.

College Junior

Academic Experience: My major is Biochemistry. I only came to Shelton to complete my basics.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The professors are great. They are willing to help and are good at explain material to you. The class registration process is super easy. The workload is bearable.

3 College Junior

Student Body: It is much diversity. Many ethnicities. The student body isn't the best though.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Since it is a community college the tuition is not too bad. However, there were unexpected fees that I had to pay. If you want scholarships and financial aid join lots and lots of clubs and volunteer and do community services!

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Flexibility of classes are not too overwhelming but things can get pretty frustrating if you are not on a good time schedule. I haven't transferred to a 4 year college yet, so I can not give an experience if transferring credits are easy.
