Campus Strictness: The only thing Sewanee really cares about as far as getting students in trouble is the honor code. Other than that, alcohol is allowed in all dorms regardless of your age, anyone can spend the night in your dorm room, and since we're in the middle of no where, we can make all the noise we want! The police are super chill and have been known to smoke weed with students instead of taking it away. They will give parking tickets though!

Health & Safety: Sewanee has got to be the safest college in the world and that's one of the many things I love about it. I've never been worried about my safety at any point and walk back to my dorm at all hours of the night and have never thought for a second there was anything wrong with that. Super safe!!

Nightlife: It's almost all Greek based, but there's lot of different frats/ sororities for all different types of people! Frats dominate at night and sororities do almost all the pregames. There's a party almost every night of the week and they're open door! Really welcoming and super easy to rush and be a part of Greek life even if you're not the "Greek type"

Guys & Girls: The guys are preppy, full of Southern charm, and not your typical frat guys. I love almost all of them! I made life long friends for sure.

Diversity: Almost everyone is white and fairly wealthy. That being said, they're people from all over the world and people of all sexual orientation.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Professors really care about you and will work towards making sure you're learning as much as possible. That being said, the grading is tough.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Super easy to get internships and the staff will work with you every step of the way. Got the program of my dreams!

Campus Dining: Food is great! Lots of options and everything is fresh! Lots of good food from the University farm.

College Freshman

Greek Life: When it comes to greek life, there's an option for everyone available.

College Freshman

Campus Housing: Not all dorms have same perks, but all have perks.

College Freshman

Scholarships: Financial aid is given for applicants who apply in December or earlier.

College Freshman

Facilities: All easy access and aesthetically pleasing.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of students enjoy off campus dining, from pizza to waffles

Greek Life: I just graduated and even though I loved my sorority, all my friends are making connections in new cities because the have connections because the belonged to a national sorority. i am not sure why there are national fraternities and only local sororities. It seems sexist and is denying woman connections that we need to succeed. i am hoping that Sewanee has their local sororities affliate with nationals . Many of my h.s. friends would not even consider this school because the lack of national sororities.

Computers: It's ok wifi, spotty in places though so yah

2 College Sophomore

Diversity: IT's pretty bad. No queer people practically which is painful for the few of us that are here

1 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The community members are snobby and it's just hicks

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Lots of pot, lots of cocaine. It's fun. Most smoke pot, but not hard drugs

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: the Greek life is the best part of campus by far. If you don't rush, you don't get the real Sewanee experience
