3 College Freshman

Weather: Its cold, and snows often. From someone from the south it was a dramatic change. Although classes are usually cancled during snow storms

3 College Freshman

3 College Freshman

Computers: Seton Hall provides laptops to all the students but wireless network is very poor.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Housing is strict on underage alcohol consumption. There is a good samaritan policy, so if you report someone who is too intoxicated to public safety no one will be written up.

2 College Freshman

Nightlife: If you are into crowded houses with loud music, an inch of beer on the floor, and dirty sweaty people dancing on you then that is what you'll get from Seton Hall.

1 College Freshman

Diversity: Everyone looks, acts and dresses the same. Get weird looks if you are not like everyone else.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Seton Hall has a huge fan supporting of Basketball

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Seton Hall has a shuttle that takes you to and from popular places in South Orange, including a grocery store and the rain station to go to New York City. Also provides a shuttle for students to call upon to avoid drunk/intoxicated driving.

1 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Seton Hall is a pretty strict Catholic university.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I know little to nothing about off campus housing

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: They are pretty strict with campus safety especially fire safety, they don't mess around with it at all.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There are a few malls around and target which is good. NYC is really close to which is nice.

Part of your education is being around people from different walks of life, and no place is better for that than Seton Hall, one of the most diverse campuses in the country. The social scene at Seton Hall is very trendy and fast-paced. The school is full of rich kids with all the money in the world to burn, and they normally burn it on clothes and bars. Seton Hall's education is good depending upon your major. Business, nursing, computer science, and diplomacy are what make Seton Hall a Tier II school. The people you meet here, and the friendships that you form, make this school a community. After an academically-tough freshman year, the only thing that kept me from transferring were the friends that I would miss. Another good reason to attend Seton Hall is its proximity to New York City, which is an endless bank of great internships, and possibly jobs. The Career Center on campus works very hard to obtain Seton Hall students positions in places like Wall Street, and as the saying about NYC goes, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

If you do come to Seton Hall, you should get involved with a group or organization. In high school, it was not cool to be in the Stock Market Club, but here, the kids who are in it might be the future millionaires, so find something you like or something that is orientated with your studies. Finally, balance your work and your play. Part of the professional world is based on people skills, and if you are cramped up in the library the whole time, chances are, you do not have the best social skills. On the other hand, if you do not know where the library is by junior year, then you need to seriously rethink the whole college thing.
