Campus Resources: Have not participated in a lot of on campus activities. while being enrolled in this school I have only been taking online courses.

4 College Student

Campus Resources: computer labs are small but well equipped. When using the computers there seems to be fast reliable network.

3 College Student

Career Services: have not graduated yet so I cant fully describe the quality of the post-grad services.

Academic Flexibility: I have a very hectic schedule with being a single mother and working but the wide range of class times really help. I like that the school offers multiple campuses to attend.

Academic Experience: I love the paramedic program. There are several instructors in the class and on clinical rotations with us at all times. We are never left alone to answer our own questions.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The paramedic program is run by seasoned paramedics who have created their program based on the national curriculum. It doesn't get any better than that.

College Senior

Career Services: I have never been involved in the process.

Student Body: The school is incredibly diverse. Public safety students are separate and don't usually spend time with regular students, so I can't speak for everyone. Our program is extremely strict and the students that attend are held to higher standards than other students. Everyone in our program is friendly and helpful to others, hardworking and eager to learn. They have to be, or they wouldn't be in the program. It's extremely competitive to even get in and only 36 students get accepted a semester.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: There are several active clubs and activities of all kinds to keep students involved. Help is offered to anyone who needs it.

Campus Resources: I have never not been able to access a computer at the sanford campus. The altamonte campus is much smaller and sometimes is closed because a class will be in session. This is not good for people who need to work on projects or use the printers.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: It's great in that I can chose my own schedule, but we need so many clinical hours that between labs, lecture, clinicals, and hours spent studying, missing work is inevitable. As well as missing sleep.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: I don't have online courses but some of my paramedic instructors communicate to us mostly online. Or clinical instructors email us more than they see us, but they take on a lot more students than other instructors. They do their best, but it shows that they have a lot more to handle. They should have the option to have volunteer helpers, at least.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am having a lot of problems receiving financial aid and even being able to apply for the scholarships offered by the school itself. Apparently, not everyone has this issue, which is why I'm giving it an "okay" rating. Out of several students I know, only a few have experienced this same problem.

College Senior

Facilities: A rating wouldn't be applicable in my situation because my program is completely separate from the rest of the classes at the college. The Public Safety students take their classes in a building separate from the campus and I can only speak for my own experiences. The public safety department is state of the art with instructors that are always willing to help us and listen. There is at least one instructor for every six students in the parameduc program so we get lots of attention. We also get tons of hands on field experience through clinical rotations and I'm positive I'll come out of this program a competent paramedic with lots to offer.

Academic Flexibility: Some of your instructors are flexible and will work with you and your schedule. Things come up to where your children may have to come to class with you, a sudden death in the family , and stuff like that they are very understandable.

Facilities: Every school is just about the same in every category but since Seminole State is so compact and very diverse we all come together as one. We know are professors well and they know us. We aren't just a number to our instructors or advisors. To mention advisors, we have them in different categories of whichever field or degree programs on campus. They guide us on the right path with one-on-one interactions.

Online Courses: Online courses differ from the traditional classroom by usually being able to do them on your own time and pace. Some have a thing about being in class and having the feeling of being rushed to do some things they do not understand. It allows you to function better in your own environment. Also it helps work around people's schedules that can't make it for the traditional classes.
