Nightlife: The nightlife at the school is almost non-existent. It mostly consists of watching movies, or playing video games.

Nightlife: Christian university that frowns on alcohol? There is no nightlife.

Nightlife: Haha, nightlife at SPU. You're a hoot.

Nightlife: I'm not into the "party scene", so SPU is a great college for me. If you go looking for it, you can find the wild, stereotypical college parties, but there are plenty of other things to do. Hill Hall is known for its feeling of family community. We always find something fun to do together, whether it be going on adventures at the canal or downtown, watching a movie in the tv lounge, or hanging out on our brother floor.

The party scene on campus can be difficult to break into initially, simply because of the no-alcohol policy on campus and the understandable reluctance to invite unwanted attention that could get someone in trouble. Students tend to stick to their "group," and so there is a level of snobbery that accompanies these parties, as well. However, Seattle is a large city filled with college students, so mingling with kids from Seattle University or the University of Washington can be profitable for socialites who like to drink and have a good time. Seattle Pacific itself often sponsors root beer keggers and other events, so if you don't drink, don't worry!

There are also tons of bars and venues to explore in the city. If you're the trendy type, you'll adore the Belltown atmosphere. If you like to go clubbing, Havana on Capitol Hill is for you. The dive-y sort? Try King's Hardware in Ballard. At the High Dive in Fremont, there's live music every night. Perhaps you're underage or just love to laugh, go watch improv at TheatreSports in the alley next to Pike Place Market. There's a cornucopia of options for every taste as well as places that are revolving doors, always changing, for those who don't yet know their palate.
