The issue of guys and girls is always a question of prospective students. Many students lose interest in Scripps once they find out that it is all female, but this is something that the student body holds great pride in. Scripps is the women's college of Claremont with a body of strong and outspoken females who study hard, but who know how to have a good time. Scripps students are generally considered, amongst the 5Cs, to be independent intellectuals who are active leaders and involved members of many of the activities and organizations on and off campus. The women are not afraid to speak their mind and to stand their ground. Unique and intelligent, Scripps females are all beautiful; each in their own way. The women of Scripps can be intimidating and sometimes exclusive, which has led many to describe Scrippsies as overly proud and arrogant.
While the college is indeed only female, males are far from scarce on campus. As a women's college, Scripps is a natural place of interest for guys. Sexual promiscuity has been known to be present at Scripps, and there are generally no issues concerning guy and girl relationships, as everybody is accepted for who they are. It is rare to find a student who feels isolated or pressured by peers to do anything beyond their comfort level.
