Academic Experience: The academics offered at this college are diverse, and professor are always helpful. Their main focus in to ensure that as a student, I dont just memorize the information taught, but also learn and am able to apply it in life.

Overall Experience: My overall experience at SCC is more than satisfactory.

Student Body: The student body at Scottsdale CC is very diverse; however, students are always able to find common language and open to sharing and taking ideas regarding study techniques and places to study

Facilities: Campus always has various activities, such as singing contest, poetry contests, and blood drives which help students interact with each other and outside environment

Online Courses: The online courses are a waste of time, since all the information is primarily taught from the textbook, with little to no additional helpful information posted online

Student Body: The student body is pretty diverse. There are plenty of students from all over the world. Everyone is accepted, language/culture barrier or not. Some of the most pleasant experiences I've had were with students that were from elsewhere in the world.

Overall Experience: I really enjoyed a lot of the people I met going here. I'm not necessarily best friends with many of them, but the laid-back atmosphere was nice (it was at least more laid back than in high school- that's for sure). The affordability of the school is great. It's nice not being in debt after getting my associate's degree. One issue I had was that the film school says at first that they'll get you out in two years, but that's nearly impossible for most students. Much of your film work requires time and money outside of class, so that means you stay for a couple semesters or even a couple years more than you would think.

Career Services: My transfer of credits has gone very smoothly. Some classes I took here did not apply enough to the curriculum of the school I'm going to, so there were a few classes that were wasted, but I have the credits and the associate's degree on the way. That process was smooth because the SCC film program communicated specifically with this school I'm going to (Santa Fe University of Art & Design). Their programs are very similar.

Online Courses: I didn't have as much interaction with online teachers as opposed to in person but I'm assuming that's normal. My teachers communicated with me as much as they needed to.

Academic Flexibility: Transferring credits to my next film school has gone smoothly. I was frustrated by not getting into a couple film classes that filled up too quickly and having two classes that I absolutely needed being scheduled at the same time with no other options. Aside from that, I was well accommodated.

Facilities: Socially, SCC students are pretty laid back in demeanor. I've met a lot of friendly people going here over the last couple years. In terms of facilities at the film school, you can't beat their affordability along with their access to equipment that's used in the industry. They don't have a massive soundstage like some other major film schools, but it also won't cost you an arm and a leg to go here.

Academic Experience: The workload is fair for college. There's a fair amount of general credits that you must do, like any other college. The workload of the film school is huge because so much of what you do is outside of class. The film community in general in Arizona is not what it is in other areas of the country, but there are some opportunities through the school to work on film sets (some features and commercials) and make connections. The facilities are really nice in general and in the film school.

Academic Experience: Class registration is straightforward, so long as you register far enough in advance. Classes can fill up quickly. I had to stay an extra semester specifically because certain classes filled up too quickly and there wasn't another class. They (film school) could offer more options for those classes, but that was also my fault for not registering way further in advance. Most of my teachers do a good job and care about their students. The atmosphere is more intimate, compared to say a lecture hall at a university. Much of the film school curriculum will transfer over to my next school.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I never went to financial aid to go here. Some friends of mine received financial aid to go here. Tuition altogether is about the same as your cost of books at a major university. The affordability of SCC is a huge plus compared to other colleges. The availability of film equipment and technology at the film school made tuition more than worth it.

Online Courses: I have never took an online course over at Scottsdale Community College. I would imagine that the student better be determined and procrastinate too much on the online assignments.

Facilities: To be honest, I cannot think of anything that is unique about the school.

Campus Resources: The computers are slow compared to other computer labs. I appreciate that they offer the computers and printers however Ive lost multiple assignments due to their age and problems with hardware.

Overall Experience: I enjoy the pleasant environment where the teachers encourage you to push yourself, as well as ask questions to better the knowledge on a specific topic. I look forward to another semester at this school to fill full the goals I have set.
