Career Services: The people who work in the career center at my school are always willing to help any student who come in. I have had several question for them throughout my college career and they were always very concerned and helped me solve my problems. I am transferring to another college after I am done here so I don't personally know how good the career prospects are, but I have heard from other students that they are good.

Campus Resources: My campus is on an American Indian reserve and because of this the campus is designed to have very nice aesthetic. There is a place called Two Waters Circle in the middle of campus. It is a beautifully designed pond surrounded by a grassy area where many students relax. It is a gorgeous part of campus.

While the campus is very pretty I do not like the current state of the library. Renovations of the library were supposed to end last year but they are still going on currently and will not be finished until next year. Meanwhile, the library has been moved to a very small area that does not have computers or places to read. Only the librarians are allowed in the stacks so students can not browse. If a student wants a book they must have the librarian get it for them.

Campus Resources: My school has several very nice computer labs. The network speed is very good and the network is rarely down. Also, they is a 24 hour help line for any students having problems with their computer network. At the beginning of each semester every student gets a 20 dollar credit for printing. Each page costs 10 cents so that means each student can print 200 pages without getting charged.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I got a great deal by going to my school. I entered the honors college and this paid for all of my tuition for up to 15 credits. Applying to the program was very easy and most of the process can be done online.

Facilities: One unique thing about my school is that it has such an involvement in culture. For example my college just had Genocide Awareness week. During this event experts on different genocides and hate crimes came on campus and talked about their experiences and knowledge on the subject. I attended an excellent presentation on the Guatemalan Genocide and the Sanctuary Movement. This event promoted awareness of what is occurring in society and how to prevent horrible things like genocide from occurring again. Also, there are often coffee houses where students can go be social and present their own works of art. These are always fun to go to.

Academic Experience: I was amazed by the amount of assistance students are able to get if they are struggling with a subject. Each department has a tutoring center where many students often go if they need a little extra help understanding the subject. The math tutoring center is especially good and is used by a large proportion of the students in math classes. Also, the professors I have had have always been willing to talk after class or during their office hours. One especially good teacher I had was an English professor who did not have class for one week right before a big paper was due. During that week he required that each student in the class come talk to him one-on-one about any questions or problems they were having with their paper. This shows how every teacher at my school wants each student to succeed.

Academic Experience: The reason I went to community college is because I did not know what I wanted my major to be. Therefore I have been taking a variety of classes from forensic sciences to history and anthropology. The workload of my classes has been moderate, but fair. All the assignments I have been given relate back to what we have been learning about in class. The curriculum has been appropriate and the teachers always make it very interesting my relating concepts to things that occur in everyday life or unique events that have happened.

Student Body: I am a member of the honors college and Phi Theta Kappa so my experience has been different than the average students. The people in my classes and organizations have all been very friendly and outgoing. Scottsdale Community College is on an Indian reservation so a fair amount of Native American people attend our school. Their different life experiences and the diversity they create in the classrooms is amazing to learn about.

Academic Flexibility: When I was in high school I took several AP and duel enrollment classes. Getting the credit I earned through the AP tests I took and the duel enrollment was super easy! The office faculty was very willing to help and guided me through the process.
