4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I feel as though if you respect the authority then they'll respect you as well. Their job is to protect us, not to let us have our way with everything.

Savannah State does not have a curfew, but students are required to obey visitation hours. Overnight visitors are discouraged from staying over during the week, so they don't interfere with students' schoolwork and responsibilities. Guests can only stay two consecutive nights, with extensions being granted only through the residence director. Resident/community assistants (RAs or CAs) are students just like any other, except that they are required to enforce the rules and keep students safe. They are also ambassadors of the school. RAs and CAs have many activities on campus to get students motivated.

SSU is a dry campus, meaning whether you are 21 years of age or not, alcohol is not permitted on campus. Students are subject to disciplinary action, even for just having alcoholic paraphernalia (beer funnels).
