3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: We are a. Very strict campus. While the police can be your friends they are there mainly for protection and they will do what is needed to do so. If you break the rules you will be punished no if ands or buts.

Campus Strictness: We have freedom on campus as long as you don't disturb others and are respectful.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Never stayed on campus but my best friends did. Seemed they were always without visitation because of some dumb freshman stuff! BUTTT its not that bad.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Because our school implements so many rules it restricts us to the growth and development that we need.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: You can get around the rules.

Savannah State does not have a curfew, but students are required to obey visitation hours. Overnight visitors are discouraged from staying over during the week, so they don't interfere with students' schoolwork and responsibilities. Guests can only stay two consecutive nights, with extensions being granted only through the residence director. Resident/community assistants (RAs or CAs) are students just like any other, except that they are required to enforce the rules and keep students safe. They are also ambassadors of the school. RAs and CAs have many activities on campus to get students motivated.

SSU is a dry campus, meaning whether you are 21 years of age or not, alcohol is not permitted on campus. Students are subject to disciplinary action, even for just having alcoholic paraphernalia (beer funnels).
