Overall Experience: Looking back at the decision I made to go to this school, I could not be happier. It gave me an opportunity to grow and expand my education without the high cost of a 4-year. It also was a physically beautiful place that also allowed me to receive a college experience due to the closeness of the UC school, which is where I claimed residence while attending city college.

Online Courses: I have taken two online courses. The first of which I had a very positive experience where as my second was not so positive. I took Math 117 online and found that the teacher does not email back promptly(if ever).

Facilities: This school gave me the opportunity to be in the honors program which in many cases gives you priority admissions into many schools, including UCLA

Campus Resources: The math lab is one of the best things that I have found on the campus. I took an online class that was incredibly difficult and found myself in the math lab everyday which helped dramatically.

Campus Resources: They have a wide variety of computer labs that deal with every subject as well as many printers.

Academic Flexibility: It has been a very easy transition of going from a community college to a university as many universities found the classes offered are desired. Almost all of my credit transferred and gave me the ability to jump right into another university without any catching up to do.

Academic Experience: My major, communications, has a variety of classes that are offered and give you a good scope of what to expect in the years to come. I think that often times communication teachers are the most enthusiastic, and this is certainly the case at Santa Barbara City College. The work load varies dramatically from the introduction classes to the more focused classes that concentrate on the major of communications. The curriculum is great as it is very applicable to real life and is useful in every facet of life. The facilities are great as the communications building is shared with the business building, the majority of them equipped with projectors and other various technology.

Academic Experience: All the academics are top notch and you feel as though you are getting a 4-year university education. The class registration is sometimes at a fault as classes tend to fill up incredibly fast making it difficult to get all the required classes done in a timely manner.

Overall Experience: My overall experience at SBCC was great and continues to be great. The campus has a very lively and high energy feel to it. I actually feel like I am attending a college rather than a junior or city college. There is always room for improvement but I still believe I am attending the best city college available.

Academic Flexibility: Most classes are structured well but others make it difficult to pass the class. The reason for this is that the class is only based on midterm and final grades. This makes it difficult to pass the course if one does poorly on the midterm. Most classes should have more flexible grading systems that are more based on a wide range of quizzes tests and essays.

Online Courses: I have not taken any online courses at this school but my friends tell me it is an easy and reliable way to take any general education classes.

Campus Resources: The school offers plenty of recourses for students to utilize. The transfer center, LRC, library, and student center all carry a vast amount of recourses that are very useful.
