3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I couldn't earn much financial aid and grants because of my father's income.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: they lose documents, always ask for documents I've already turned in, make receiving aid hard when college is hard enough to pay for already. Seems as if they're greedy.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: There are no published dates to expect an award letter. My Cal Grant was not renewed until after SJSU sent my financial aid award and the Financial Aid office did not re-check the Cal Grant status until I called. Upon calling I was told the office would check and add me to the list. I needed the award to show up on my award letter before the 17th of July and the office worker told me I could expect to see the Cal grant in my award in August. Luckily I just had to tell them I couldn't wait that long for them to check and add my Cal Grant to my award.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: You really got to try to get financial aid. Most schools help out, however at SJSU you have to look for it to find it yourself.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Financial aid is good and it helps me a lot due to my income
