Local Atmosphere: If you are involved everything is better

Weather: I love the SJSU weather.

Greek Life: It is just a lot of work to join and that derives us away from fully concentrating on our studies

Athletics: Sports are mainly promoted much when there are games.

Campus Housing: Technically, I don't live ON campus. I live one block away from campus. I live in a place called The International House. My experience in the International House has been the best kind; it's the best option for me. There are many perks to living in this house; they provide many things that a college student would find very useful such as accessible computers, printers, etc. The social atmosphere is amazing; we have our own happy community. The only difficulty to living in the house is paying it; it is costly living in a place like this.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a good amount of nearby places to eat with a good price, but sometimes it gets tiring eating the same type of food. There are plenty Asian restaurants, few Indian places, and even fewer Latin restaurants. Well, there are few of these types of restaurants. We have a hard time finding something new. And most have student discounts.

College Freshman

Athletics: Personally, I would say the rate would be between okay and great. I've never been at a game, but I've seen students on their way to the games; football is the most popular sport games on campus followed by basketball. I can tell students have school spirit because they are completely dressed in school colors. Some have their face or body painted and many have school clothing and/or accessories such as shirts, shorts, hats, colored bead necklaces and foam fingers. So, based on what I've seen in the students, I would say the rating for athletics is great, but based on personal experience, okay or below.

Off-Campus Dining: I honestly think we have the greatest off campus dinning out there. You have cream, philz coffee, Ike's sandwhiches, pizza my heart and a whole bunch more of those go to places you always hear about on instagram. Plus there are a lot of local restaurants that sell great food like Grub Shack or The City Fish for example

Transportation: We are given free VTA passes which can take us all the across the bay area and more. We are able to reach from Santa Cruz to San Francisco since there are buses and trains near by to take us in that direction.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: There are a lot of opportunities for them, but if you are a remedial student you have to wait until after you finish 24 academic units and your Remedial classes do not count normally.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: It's not too strict, but it can be depending who is around you being a Campus police officer or RA.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Health Services at SJSU are ok. Safety for the most part is good there are the occasional shootings but what do you expect it's a big city. Big city = more crime.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There are a lot of homeless people around that make you feel a bit unsafe, but it's usually not hat bad. Walking around off-campus has its perks. There are many little shops right off-campus to eat at.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The cost can be high if you don't find the right place. It can be low if the place is in a dangerous area.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The process of filling out the FAFSA and waiting for my financial aid to be disbursed was nerve wrecking for me. I was afraid that I won't be able to get the highest amount to pay for my tuition because I come from a low income family with only my mom working a full time job.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: It's a casual setting where everyone has their own cliques.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: Seeing as how I'm not a Greek life individual, I can't say too much about it.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: From the people I know who live on campus, the rooms can be nice and its convenient to be literally a few minutes away from class.
