Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is ALOT! But financial aid is there to assist you. It is what it is with government loans.

Campus Resources: I love SJVC. All the instructors are super knowledgeable and nice to students. There is a career service lady who we love! She is very approachable and willing to help us when we have questions about creating our resume and cover letter. The security is also really nice. Couple of times my car would not turn on and he gave it a jump start. I also love the fact that we have printers and scanners available to us for no additional cost. Our directors are both really nice and willing the student to succeed. They provide everything to us to help us in our career path. I wish everyone knew about how wonderful our school is!

Career Services: Not Yet Graduated – I have not yet graduated but I do know that they have a career services person that sends out job postings and helps use develop our resumes and prepare for interviewing.

Online Courses: Exteremly Rigorous but Worth It – Everything is fast paced, I mean so fast that if you miss a day it's like missing a weeks worth of lecture and work. Points for assignments aren't much and your grades are really determined by test and quizzes. Studying is very essential and asking questions for clarification and the professorrs are always willing to help you, and they all offer tutoring as well. Time management is key.

Academic Flexibility: 2 Years Versus 5 Years – I chose this school because it was career focused and took less time than the community college for the same degree. Most classes transfer over except for physics since their is specific to respiratory care. I have learned that there is an additional fee for keterling to prepare for the boards exam which I was told was included and is not; an addition approx $300. Uniforms (scrubs) are not included and are required. However, most of the teachers are really geared towards helping you succeed as well as the school standards itself. Laptops are included in your tuition which is nice as well for the required paper use as well as desktops in the library. Staff is very helpful and has an open door policy. Your 18 months of schooling is actually an 18 months interview they say and they mean it.
