4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am only beginning my journey as a nursing student at City. The "jump start" class was fairly challenging and extremely informative; I feel very confident going into the actual program and anticipate no unpleasant surprises.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Once again, I'm only taking the first steps in this program. So far, I like and respect the professors, feel appropriately challenged by the curriculum and workload and very comfortable with the registration process.

Tuition & Financial Aid: As a community college, the tuition is as affordable as one can possibly hope for. I am currently in the process of applying for financial aid so, not knowing the outcome, I have no valid input on this topic.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I currently have had no interaction with career services.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I would absolutely choose this school no matter what. In my experience, I've been made to feel important, worthy and supported. I feel like I'm getting a world class education without breaking the bank.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: To me, convenience is subjective. There can only be a certain degree of flexibility in any course of study offered by a learning institution and, if the student is willing to also be flexible, anything is possible. I am willing.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: My only focus is achieving a career in nursing and, I feel, that City has one of the very best and respected programs anywhere.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: My experience with other students at City have all been positive and enriching. I feel that this school celebrates and embraces diversity and I see many, many cultures, ethnicities and both sexes well represented. If anyone faces challenges related to religion, race, socio-economic standing or sexual orientation, I'm confident that the administration is sensitive and responsive to those individual challenges.

Campus Resources: Having only been very recently introduced to the computer lab at City, my experience was very positive and I'm impressed with the quality and quantity of computers at our disposal. It is a core component of our program and is equipped and presented as such.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The campus itself is very attractive and constantly expanding, giving the impression of progress and modernity. The nursing facility, specifically, is quite new and state of the art, providing the student with a sense of advantage and great opportunity.

Online Courses: The only course I've taken online is algebra; it was readily available/ easy to add (unlike on-campus classes) All of the practice tests/ quizzes were very helpful in gauging progress and preparing for the actual exams. There were plenty of resources in the course material to answer specific questions and the Professor(s) were always readily available via email and online chat formats for general course related questions. In not having to travel to and from campus, it allowed quite a lot more time for actual study and, therefore, the luxury of working at my own pace.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: There's great tutoring/student centers and a great library that's quiet and full of computers and other resources. However, I wish there was a gym that students could use recreationally.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: On a computer it's great but on your own laptop of phone, the network is slow.

College Junior

Online Courses: I don't take online classes.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I was very lucky and received enough financial aid to pay for everything.

College Junior

Career Services: I haven't dealt with that aspect of the school yet.

4 College Junior

Facilities: All students are encouraged to join clubs of real merit, like student body government. It's easy to get involved in events and to join in.

5 College Junior

Student Body: San Diego City College prides itself on its diverse student body and it's very easy to see why. In all of my classes there is a vivid spectrum of different ages and ethnicities.

College Junior

Academic Experience: I haven't decided a major but getting my general credits has been easy.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm part of F.Y.E. and E.O.P.S. and I easily got honors English credit, a job on campus, priority registration, and financial aid. Going here can be easy if one is responsible and looks hard enough for doors of opportunity.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I had a few different college credits that I earned in high school that I needed transferred. The whole process was long but fairly easy and City college was very helpful.
