Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
For those students looking for on-campus jobs, there are a lot to choose from. While the pay varies with the job, hours are flexible, and most people make a decent paycheck. As for jobs off campus, Career Services constantly sends e-mails alerting students to jobs currently open in a large variety of businesses in the area, as well as organizations SU is affiliated with, such as Assateague Island National Seashore. Career Services is also a great place to have resumes reviewed, and there are always workshops that provide tips on interviewing. For those moving into the job market after college, Career Services acts as an intermediary for companies, from local to multinational, that are looking for new hires and works with them to set up interviews and information sessions with students. Career Services also knows of internships in a variety of fields and is a great place to start when looking for such opportunities. On the whole, students looking for jobs or internships have a lot of options and resources in finding them.
