4 College Freshman

Diversity: Everyone here is very accepting of others no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The professors are friendly and always willing to help. The workload is manageable and there are special study options for those who need it.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There's always someone around to help you.

1 College Freshman

Transportation: There is a shuttle bus that is supposed to take you places but doesn't do a great job about it. It mostly just transfers you to other campus related locations. Public transportation is abundant and cheap but can add a lot of time to a trip.

2 College Freshman

Drug Safety: A lot of people drink and smoke on campus. Plenty of people will smoke in their rooms and just blow the smoke out their windows. There isn't much peer pressure and the policies are enforced as best they can be.

2 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There's not much to do around campus. It's not too difficult to get to downtown but other than that it's pretty slow.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I didn't encounter many problems. The hardest part is making sure you get into your required classes as they fill up quickly.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I enjoy it because they go out of their way to make sure you have the tools necessary to use what you learned in the real world.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The school tries to help those who need financial aid as best they can. They work with the students to try and help them maximize the amount they receive.

College Freshman

Greek Life: We don't have Greek life.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are the usual places, pizza, Chinese, sandwiches, etc. Most places deliver which is nice since a lot of people don't have cars. The price is reasonable for the area and manageable with a college budget. The food is decent, some places are better than others. All in all not a terrible experience.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: SXU is very strict about drug use on campus. if someone does use it its dealt with promptly.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Just talk to your financial aid adviser.

5 College Sophomore

Computers: Everywhere you turn there is a computer lab. Dont waste your money and buy one unless you really want one.

College Sophomore

Majors: I have yet to do an intenrship.

College Sophomore

Majors: My career goals are to become a cardio surgeon.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: I really like Chicago, i will continue to work here.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: the weather isnt really much of an effect. Besides, its Chicago weather

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: we have on-campus shuttle buses that run constantly.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: we have an on-campus saloon.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The dorms are clean. Not much noise complaints.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: I am a nursing major. I must say that the work is very challenging, but I'm going to be responsible for the lives of others. Therefore, I expect the work to be challenging. SXU has a NCLEX-RN pass rate of 96%. In 2011 SXU was the #1 in Illinois to graduate the most Hispanic and African-American nurses.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of for rent apartment that are advertised towards the student body.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The school has some diversity. We could use a tad bit more. This Fall we will be having an exchange program with China

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: not many off-campus dining areas. you'll have to do some traveling.
