Scholarships: the financial aid process is not to easy, but that is not up to the school

Scholarships: I'm still applying for financial aid so I can't speak to how it went. I have applied for many grants and scholarships, I am now just waiting to hear back on them.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: In the beginning, it was extremely easy to receive financial aid. The school gave me a lot of money and my first two semesters was easy to come up with the money that I needed. My sophomore year I got quite a bit of financial aid, but no where near the amount that I received my freshman year. Although I did not receive as much, it was enough for me to comfortable afford my sophomore year. As I am preparing for my Junior year, the amount of financial aid I received dropped significantly. I received less than half of what I was give then previous year, and has really cause me worry. Without the reassurance from my parents, I would have seriously considered transferring. Some tips for getting financial aid is to make sure you get your FAFSA in as soon as possible, because this is important for on campus work study. My sophomore year I missed the deadline and the would not offer me work study, and this is a great way to make some extra money. Also, in your FAFSA, report anything and everything! You never know what is going to help you out.

1 College Junior

Scholarships: There was only one scholarship that I qualified for. They did not have an abundant amount of opportunities and I am afraid my debt to income ratio will be immense once I do receive my master's degree in Education.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: The people in financial aid are horrible at helping. They are rude when you ask a question and they need to be able to understand that not every student has the ease to get financial help.
