3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The only time when people interact is probably during the night, because otherwise there is not much to do other then catch lunch most students cant afford.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Its not the greatest but it is a pretty quiet place if you like small towns and to find inner peace and meditation. Town only has one movie theater, no clubs but ALOT of bars. There is also NO shopping mall. It is pretty hard to adjust if you come from a big city.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There are a lot of off campus opportunities for jobs. The scenery is really pretty and crime rate is low.

Local Atmosphere: Winona is a small town with a very chill feeling. There are lots of local delis, restaurants, shops, etc. so you interact with a lot of local people. There is also a Target, Wal-mart, and K-mart in Winona so you can do some shopping in bigger department stores as well. La Crosse, WI is about a 30 minute drive from Winona and that town has a bigger mall with more commercial stores. Winona has two lakes with paved paths along its main road as well as a Lake Lodge where you can rent kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, bikes, and games for free. There is also a local movie theatre and two bowling allies located right in Winona. It's a pretty cool town

Local Atmosphere: Attractions in Winona – Saint Mary's University is located in the city of Winona which is surrounded by beautiful bluffs. Not only are there beaches, walking paths, and hiking trails, but there are also museums and many places to visit downtown. There is always something to do while in Winona
