Nightlife: Saint Leo is located 30 to 45 minutes away from Tampa. Thus, if you want to have a night life it is difficult to have one due to the location of Saint Leo.

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I am currently enrolled in a distance learning (online) program at Saint Leo University.

2 College Junior

Nightlife: There isn't really any night life around st leo. There is one bar and a few people that may throw house parties. For the most part you will be driving to Tampa to go out.

There is really something for everyone around SLU. Plenty of people hang around campus and drink in the dorms or party in the apartments. If you are more interested in going out, there are definitely options, but transportation is crucial. The three main areas in Tampa are Channelside, Ybor City, and Hyde Park. Each of these locations offers a variety of bars and clubs and plenty of people to mingle with. Some bars are expensive and some are cheap. The best options if you want the most bang for your buck are happy hours. Several bars throughout the Tampa Bay area offer all-you-can-drink happy hour specials. There is usually a cover charge around $10, and then you get to drink whatever you want until happy hour is over.

There is really not too much going on locally in Saint Leo itself, though. Off-campus house parties are usually a good time for underage students, but other than that, drinking in the dorms or apartments may be your best bet. Fake IDs have gotten several students in trouble around town. The closest bars around Saint Leo are Applebee's, Chili's, and Winners. All good options for a decent time if you are looking to stay close and not spend too much.
