3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: It a very laid back school as long as you do what your supposed to. After quite hours as long as the music isn't really loud no one will bother you. Unless it's finals week

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Not much goes on that I know of on campus. I've walked across campus at 3am when I was a freshmen by my self. It cameras everywhere on campus so they can pretty much see everything all the time.

2 College Junior

Nightlife: There isn't really any night life around st leo. There is one bar and a few people that may throw house parties. For the most part you will be driving to Tampa to go out.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The dorms are okay for the most part. It does cost a lot to live in some of them especially since they don't have a kitchen in them. They just changed the housing process and it made it a lot easier. Most of the dorms are on campus so the walk to classes and other places isn't really that bad.

Local Atmosphere: It's too out-of-the-way campus is good but it's better to live off of it

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: It's okay same type of food over and over but they have a variety of choices salad, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, hot station, omelette station, fried station, stir fry station. You can have different types of meal plan and if you have the unlimited meal plan you go to the Lions den and get $100 free per semester

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love it class sizes are small. Gives you one on one with the professor. Classes are well taught, some of the courses can be difficult but they provide tutors that are free!

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It's great they really prepare you and focus you on your career. The internships are exactly what you need to get your foot in the door for a job

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Rooms are nice, every clean, the housing process is online so it makes your life easy and stress free. The cost isn't that bad

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: It's a pretty good ratio with all the students

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It's okay it's easier to live in campus. So you don't have to travel far

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Campus life is great. Everything is kept clean and well maintained. There are a great amount of places to study and most places are open all the time. Campus events are fun they go do all kinds of things including water-parks, adventure parks , all types of professional sporting events, concerts and so much more and it is also really cheap to go

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Student involvement is great! Everyone goes to the sporting events and shows their school spirit! the team performance is excellent, great amount of energy at the events

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: Living on campus is great; very social and friendly.

5 College Senior

Health & Safety: The safety on campus is excellent. I feel very safe, patrol cars are always around; night and day.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: I have no idea. Greek life is not the main focus.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I love St. Leo University. It is very peaceful, and quiet.

4 College Senior

Athletics: Everyone are supportive and welcoming. School spirit is excellent.

5 College Senior

Campus Strictness: From what I heard, the school is very strict; I mean it is a religious campus, and they promote prayer, and well-being of every individual on campus; they really care a lot.

4 College Senior

Campus Dining: I have eaten at least twice in the dinning halls, and by experience, the food was satisfying.

The overall experience at Saint Leo University is decent. You make friends, have fun, go to school, and live in the sun—although the small size does limit some of the resources normal college students have access to. There are no big football games with huge tailgating parties, and you won't see a big school band; nor is SLU the place for your typical social scene run by Greek life. The location is quaint, simple, and actually quite beautiful, but there just isn't a whole lot going on in the area. Yet, at the same time, you are only a 25-minute drive from the city of Tampa. Most students fall in love with the Bay atmosphere while they are here, and the roaring tourist economy of Orlando is only an hour away.

Your experience at this school will be greatly enhanced if you have a car. It's just not the place you can find everything you need within walking distance, and public transportation down here hardly exists. The school is small enough that you can get to know most of the people you will be spending your college career with, classes are not too difficult, and most the the professors really do care about how you perform. All in all, there is fun to be had at Saint Leo, but you may have to find it on your own. If you are the type of person that is outgoing and likes to create your own fun, then this school may be your place. If you're somebody that would rather sit back and let all the fun come to you, then I would suggest choosing a bigger school.
