1 College Freshman

Transportation: We don't have transportation. If we did, I'm sure it would cost a lot of money. It would be nice to have transportation to the town and back but there isn't much to visit.

Diversity: There isn't a lot of diversity. I feel like the only reason African American's go here are for sports, seen 2 Serbian guys and one Asian. So you could say it's lacking a lot of diversity.

Greek Life: We don't have any Greek Life, so I wouldn't know.

Drug Safety: We had someone die of hyperthermia who was a Soccer player because he was drinking and driving. We had two people OD in the same dorm.

Local Atmosphere: No mall,I have to go to Marrillville or Lafayette to shop. No food like literally maybe 4 restaurants, and the townies seem reserved. I'm surprised we have a Walmart and McDonalds, but it's not even open 24 hours.

Athletics: I'm only speaking from a women's soccer point of view but, we don't have a lot of fans and we can't charge the away team because we don't have a fence around the field. We also don't have a locker room and we what we use is a dorm's basement and share that with boy's soccer.

3 College Freshman

Parking: I don't drive but when I borrow someone's car theres usually a spot open. I don't need a car on campus, but being that my college is in the middle of nowhere I have to borrow one. I'd say I need a car because I don't like to mooch off other people.

Campus Strictness: I don't like how strict it is sometimes like if I want to spend the night at my best guy friends room or if we spend an all nighted watching movies/tv shows/gaming all night. We have curfews because it's a Catholic school but I'm not Catholic so I just got with it. I understand the roommate policies but to me, I don't think it should matter for co-ed dorms.

Health & Safety: Security is always on the prowl and it's nice that they are close. I feel safe most of the time, I can't think of a time I didn't feel safe.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: I hang out with the soccer team most of the time because I'm on the team. But, everyone is pretty nice and willing to help you if you need it. I wish we had more sports here like swimming but there isn't a pool and a fence around the soccer field so we can charge admission.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: We have classes called Core and they make you a more well rounded learner. Were also the 7th most haunted college in the country!

Campus Housing: The dorms (depending on where you live) are small and I don't like how we have a kitchen only in the girls freshmen dorm. Once my year ends as a freshmen I don't know how I'll be able to cook without having to worry about someone letting me in. You also can't depend on the food in the cafe and everyone basically goes to meal exchange at the hub. Whenever I eat cafe food it doesn't stay in for long. I know I'm not the only person on campus that this happens to. Meal exchange is at the hub and it's way better food. I heard next year they are going to take away meal exchange because people skip cafe hours for the hub. It stinks because I want food that won't upset my stomach and they force us to get a meal plan. I was thinking about just buying groceries for next year, but now I have to buy the lowest meal plan because I can't live on campus without one. It's not like we have like a Pizza Hut or Subway or Chick-Fil-A on campus. We have a Jazzmine's cafe but I know people would rather have Starbucks. I know I could use my Starbucks points and my mom could put money on the card and it's also an app. Plus, Starbucks taste better period.

Nightlife: I can't complain. Nothing bad happens but nothing spectacular either.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: To my knowledge, there is no available off-campus housing.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: When I was accepted to this college, I received an academic scholarship automatically and auditioned for a music scholarship. The process to accept financial aid was not terribly difficult.

2 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The town is very small with not a lot to do other than see movies.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Campus strictness is just there to keep everyone safe. You generally will not get in trouble if you are not doing something dangerous. If you do get in trouble for something such as alcohol, you may get a fine, write up, or community service.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: To my knowledge, more people drink alcohol than use drugs. Alcohol use does not normally get very severe.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Our football team has been improving but both of our basketball teams are subpar.

College Freshman

Transportation: We have a small campus that does not require public transportation.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: There are more/better parties when it is warm outside. You have to create your own fun sometimes.

3 College Freshman

Academics: There is a wide variety of courses available taught by knowledgeable professors.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus security goes around and makes sure everything is fine each night. They are always available when needed.

4 College Freshman

Majors: The Education program is great and they have you start student teaching when you're a freshman which is really helpful!

Majors: I'm really happy with the fact that we start in the classroom as a freshman. It gives me a distinct advantage when I begin the process of looking for a job.
