Local Atmosphere: There's always something to do, in the Bronx or in Manhattan, and transportation is obviously good.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere in the town where the University of Saint Joseph is located is very serene. There is a large plaza about 2 minutes away (by car) that includes shopping stores (Marshalls) and great food on the go (Panera Bread and Whole foods market among many others.) Cultural, social and campus activities are casual and very interesting. Postings in each building allow for you to keep up with the dates and times of each event. Local attitude towards students is neutral. There are no safety issues in this area, and many locals are kind and will say hello if they take a walk on campus.

Local Atmosphere: We are by blue black square, which offers great places to shop and eat.

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere in West Hartford where University of Saint Joseph is located is outside of the city and is located in a nicer location. Some attractions that are near the school is Elizabeth Park, where in the fall and spring time the rose garden is beautiful. Elizabeth is a ten to fifteen walk from the school and is a safe and beautiful place to sit and relax on the weekends. There is also Blue Back Square where there is shopping and restaurants located, which is a five minute drive either you can drive if you have a car or take a shuttle to get there. There is also the West Farms Mall that is only 3 exits up from the school where there are many shops and places to eat. Lastly around the corner is Corbin's Corner where there is more shops and restaurants.
