3 College Sophomore

Academics: Academics are ok. Some professors seem to not care sometimes.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Some professors are good and some professors are bad. Bee sure to check rate my professor before registering!

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It's ok nothing too special. I personally would not be satisfied with a degree from this school.

1 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Campus dining is terrible. I am very disappointed with the lack of options and the price of the meal plans. The quality of food is also very low. One time i got 2 day food poisoning from the dining hall.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Overall ok, nothing too exciting. The campus needs more things to do.

2 College Sophomore

Nightlife: If you're interested in partying do not go here as the cops are very unfair and all they care about is busting parties and getting drunk students.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: SCSU has a nationally accredited Social Work program, which requires applicants to complete a 60 internship. The instructors in the Social Work deparment are all former and current Social Workers. There are several job fairs and the Career Services Center is very helpful.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: There are several helpful professors especially in the Human Relations department. The larger auditorium classes can be loud and distracting. I prefer the smaller online classes that allow you to learn at your own pace.

College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I do not live on or near campus to give a proper description.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: There are many different places you can go on campus to sit with friends and visit, study, or eat.

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I haven't been to a party on campus, but the parties I went to of students who were living off campus were very safe. They offered space to people to sleep so they wouldn't drive home.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: My campus sends out emails to the students when a crime or safety issue had occurred. They also post on the doors of the building that classes would be help in a summary of what happened. I have not felt unsafe on campus. Walking to my car at night alone can be scary but there are emergency phone poles that you can push a button and security will answer and drive to you if you feel threatened.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There will always be someone that you don't really care for everywhere you go. I've run into some people who were stuck up, but they are usually the younger people. There are a lot of older people who are going back to school. There is no way to really describe the people that go to my school because my school is so diverse.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: I have not witnessed any bullying at my school yet. The professors there challenge you to be different. There are always social behavior studies going on in the sociology classes. When I took one you had to pick something that's out of the ordinary like walking backwards in the hall. People usually just snickered or were confused.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I live off campus so I have not had a lot of contact with the above topics. I have received a couple of parking tickets but they were from the winter when the snow was covering the lines.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletes that attend SCSU work very hard and are very dedicated to there sport. There are always people working out in the gym both athletes and non-athletes.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: I know of a few people who are in a sorority, but I haven't really talked to them about it. I will see people around campus doing activities but I'm usually on my way to class and don't have time to stop or look into it.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Everyone I met on campus has been very friendly and willing to help direct you if you ask.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors for the most part are very approachable. Registration is very easy if you have an adviser that doesn't have a full schedule.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: It is a really heavy work load when having to take multiple lab courses in one semester.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: We have metro transit and it's free to students with your ID

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: They give free stuff during the week

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I don't party, but I hang with friends and it's enjoyable

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: It has it's pros like to to campus, but you don't have your own space

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: It depends on who you influence yourself with on if you do it or if you get caught but it's easier to avoid
