College Junior

Transportation: There was talk of starting transportation at Rust however when I attended there was none available

1 College Sophomore

Transportation: The only way to get anywhere is to catch a ride with students!

2 College Senior

Transportation: There is no public transportation around Rust College. So therefore you have to either have your own ride or share rides with someone that's going your way. Another option is to get a ride with the school to the airport or bus station. There is a need for campus transportation. Even if it's just a ride to the store on the weekends. Also the need for local transportation is high, so students won't be stuck on campus if they do not have thier own transportation or can't get anyone to take them where they need.

2 College Freshman

Transportation: BYOC- Bring Your Own Car – There is really no public transportation. We have no buses, no taxis, no nothing. IF you do not have your own vehicle or a friend with one, then you are pretty much stranded. Walking would be your best option is some situations.

Unfortunately, there is no public transportation in the Holly Springs area. You may not even be able to get a cab because the city is so far away, and even if you could get a cab, it would probably cost a lot. Also, there are no buses, taxis, or subways for students to utilize for transit. If you do not have a car, you will have to carpool with friends or maybe even ask one of the faculty members for a ride. In most situations, walking is the best, and only, option.

On the other hand, Rust does have a van that takes students to Walmart and various stores for students to get their necessities and groceries, but you have to ask in advance. There is no fee for this, but if you need to go to the bus station or airport, there is generally a fee.
