Transportation: It's a moderate size campus. Some places are obviously farther away from other places but in most instances you can get from one place to the next in less than five or ten minutes on foot. Longboards are pretty popular in the warmer weather as are bikes.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: I don't really use the transportation but I've heard it's decent.

3 College Senior

Transportation: I do not know as I stay on campus for the most part.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: They have shuttles that go all over campus, as well as in between the Glassboro and Camden campuses. Recently, zipcars were added to the campus, which are convenient.

Public transportation here is okay, but if you are the type of person who enjoys staying out late and using public transportation to get home, coming to Rowan will be a big adjustment. New Jersey Transit has a bus stop on campus that goes to Camden and Philadelphia. The last bus from Philadelphia to Glassboro leaves around 11 p.m., and on the weekends, the bus leaves around 10 p.m. Generally, students use the bus to get to Camden, where they transfer to another bus. Choices are limited when it comes to the bus, and if you don’t catch one at a certain time, the wait for the next bus can last for an hour to 90 minutes.

The best advice for students who want to go home for the weekend and don’t have their own car is to make friends with someone who lives in the same city or state—it will be a much easier trip if you can catch a ride with them.
