3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Guaranteed housing for freshman and sophomores, everybody else needs to enter the housing lottery. The housing lottery is rather annoying though and a lot of people end up without on campus housing and have to seek off campus housing as a result or transfer. The town of Glassboro really doesn't have enough room to house all the students so housing is a valuable commodity.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: I have no idea really as I have always lived on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There is a pretty good selection of off-campus housing. Many of the properties are within walking distance of campus, and it is pretty affordable. While it may be a little bit more responsibility to live off-campus, it can save you thousands of dollars.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The housing is within walking distance of all classes and though it is a little on the expensive side, the housing is relatively good with an indoor gym and outdoor pool along with all year housing

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I'm not sure about this but the college does have good off campus housing . That is fairly close to the school.

Despite the fact that there is no nightlife in Glassboro, it's still a college town, so if you begin having fantasies of the violent variety toward your roommates, maybe off-campus housing is for you. However, for anyone thinking of moving off campus, pricing will be an issue. If you live with your parents, that is one thing, but as expensive as on-campus housing is at Rowan, off-campus housing is just as bad, if not worse. Therefore, many students decide to stay on campus because they would end up paying the same amount to live off campus when factoring in utilities, food, and other independent essentials.

For students who still want to live off campus, no matter the price, there are several apartment buildings available, in addition to homes that students can rent, which are great for hosting parties. However, getting a roommate is generally the only way to afford off-campus housing, which defeats the purpose if you are looking for an alternative to having a roommate.
