Nightlife: theyre a really no bars to go to, but some frat parties

College Junior

Nightlife: I'm really not sure don't go out much

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I've been to a few and I had a good time. I think its good way to meet other students from campus.

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: It's sad that people look into schools just for their parties. Well if you want to party and not to learn then Rowan's your place to be. There's ton of underage drinking and a myriad of illegal substance abuse. The bar often let in underage kids too.

Anyone who really wants nightlife in Glassboro should be able to find an alternative that best suits their needs. There are several bars in Glassboro that attract Rowan students, but as for actual nightlife, students generally go to Philadelphia or Atlantic City—both of these major nightlife cities are each less than an hour from campus. When leaving Glassboro in search of nightlife, Rowan students usually end up in the über-popular Old City district in Philadelphia, which has a mix of trendy bars, clubs, and restaurants. Plus, Rowan After Hours sponsors a free shuttle to different parts of Philadelphia every Friday. Atlantic City is a little different and is normally the birthday-celebration spot of choice.

Both Philly and Atlantic City can be great for nightlife, but students who are under 21 are basically restricted to whatever house parties are being held on campus that night, and, normally, the house parties are few and far between. In general, Rowan is not a party school. There are some people who like to believe that it is, but don’t believe them, especially if they reek of vodka with a hint of cranberry.
