Campus Strictness: The school does have many rules, but they are all enforced by the RA. If you have a very lenient RA, then you can get away with just about anything. If your RA is strict, then it's better to just follow the rules instead of trying to sneak around them.

Campus Strictness: it is a dry campus, and police are very aware of things going on.

Campus Strictness: Its not too strict if you follow all the rules.

Campus Strictness: I never had to be involved with how strictness would affect me.

Campus Strictness: It's a college, so there are going to be rules. The rules are there for good reason, but students are expected to be drinking so underage drinking is not much of an issue. Rowan police, or Ro-Po, are annoying though. You WILL get a ticket if you park somewhere you're not supposed to, or past the designated time limits. Also, noise complaints from neighbors are the main cause of a house party host getting ticketed or the party getting shut down. So when the hosts say to quiet down, if you want to keep partying...quiet down!

Rowan is pretty lenient about the rules when it comes to misdemeanors. However, if a student actually commits a crime on campus, they are dealt with—as they should be. Overall, though, Rowan doesn’t have too many rules, and of the rules that do exist, most of them are enforced because they contribute to campus safety and security, which is a great thing.

For the most part, campus security understands that kids will be kids. However, if serious issues do occur, the RoPo will certainly crack down. But while Rowan isn't the strictest of campuses, drugs and alcohol are not tolerated in dorm rooms and campus apartments. If you fancy the occasional breaking of a small rule, you will find a comfortable existence at Rowan. And, in general, a student’s individual experience with strictness will depend greatly on the leniency—or lack thereof—of his or her RA.
