3 College Student

Transportation: There is not many transportation opportunities for non campus events.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Lots of things are walking distance from campus and there are free shuttles every friday to the movies and stuff. Over all unless you want to go to the beach or an amusement park , youre likely to find a cheap ride .

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: The campus is pretty small, so most people walk. Another popular method of transport in to longboard/skateboard. A few people cycle. Actually many students have cars!

College Junior

Transportation: Rollins is so small that there is no need for official transportation, but if you need a lift because you're injured or sketched out, you can always call Campus Security.

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: There is a free shuttle Friday nights from 6 p.m.-midnight. But it is so slow and really inconvenient. It picks you up in one spot and drops you off at the Movie Theater, no where else. The school has no bus service so if you want that you have to use the public bus. Have a car without one you are stuck on campus of in the immediate surrounding area.

Since Rollins is such a small campus, students can walk from one end to the other without needing any transportation. This is a great thing, considering Rollins doesn’t have much transportation at all. There are cab services that students can call; however, most of them are extremely slow and poorly run. If you call a cab, you better be prepared to wait a good 25 to 30 minutes for it; plus, they are very expensive, too. There is a train station across the street from campus, and some students take advantage of the train to travel home. However, the train doesn’t stop at every city, and buses are used as connectors, which makes train trips long and confusing. A lot of students have their own cars on campus, which is the best way to go. You rarely see buses around Rollins, and the majority of students has no idea where they run or where the bus stops.

A car is nice to have on campus, if you want to run to the store or go to downtown Orlando. Many students who don’t have cars on campus have friends who they can catch a ride with or borrow a car from if they need to run an errand. For the most part, a car isn’t a necessity at Rollins. Students can find most of what they need right across the street on Park Avenue or in the Rollin’s bookstore or C-Store.
