Greek Life: Greek life allows students to join a group of students who they can call their family. Greek life is very involved on campus and allows students to get move involved in school and community service.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life isn't for everyone and the Greek scene at Rollins is surely unique however everyone has to have their own choices of friends. Personally I'm not a part of any organizations (greek wise) primarily because I have too many friends in a variety of the fraternities and would have a hard time even choosing which one to go to.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: It's good. There are no negative things about them. They don't dominate, but instead everybody enjoys the way in which they help around at the college. If you want to join one, go ahead. they are not just about social status, but unity as a family.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek life has decreased in importance in the past few years due to the school's alcohol policy. Multiple fraternities and sororities have been dismissed from campus and the number of sororities double that of the fraternities. Most people don't care if you are in a sorority or not because it isn't a dominating feature of Rollins like it once was.

Greek life is definitely a big deal at Rollins. A quarter of students at Rollins is involved with Greek life, which is a lot of students since the student body is so small. There are seven sororities and five fraternities on campus. Greek life is a great way to meet friends and get involved on and off campus. Fraternities and sororities have socials and formals, which are fun events that they look forward to. Greek life is not all about parties, though; fraternities and sororities do a lot of volunteer work, as well. Each Greek organization has a different philanthropy for which they do service work and try to raise money. Most Greeks are very loyal to their organization and consider fellow members to be like family.

Greek life is definitely a dominant force in the social scene at Rollins, but you don’t have to be a part of Greek life to have friends and be social. People in Greek organizations are friends with people in other Greek organizations and also non-Greeks, as well.
