3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: The plaza offers many options, although they're expensive. There is a variety of fast food nearby, but most things are not open late.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: Not usually a lot going on, many attend the bar across the street

2 College Freshman

Athletics: Most students are not aware of when athletic events are happening, I have personally never attended one. The school spirit is high in certain circles but in general not a big thing.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: It's alright. Dorms are crappy.

2 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I thought I would enjoy Rockhurst because I loved how small my high school was. I still like the one-on-one relationship I get with a professor at Rockhurst, but group projects and class time with little participation or effort from other students makes it difficult to enjoy learning. I would not choose my school again because people here are very cliquey, rude, and are not open to new ideas. Also, since it is such a small school and I live on campus, I often feel stuck here. There are not a lot of options for food, activities, etc. I think I will enjoy a college with more going on and one with more choices.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Although I do not participate in Greek life, it seems like something I would be interested in in the future.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe, even when walking across campus alone at 2am.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I have never felt unsafe or pressured about drugs or alcohol and no one is judging you if you decided to partake in the activities or not.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Although Rockhurst is considered close to many stores, restaurants, etc. I would not like to walk on these streets, so I feel it is very necessary to have a car. But I do like that we can ride the Metro Buses for free.

3 College Freshman

Weather: I'm from St. Louis so I'm kind of used to bipolar weather, but I am not a big fan of the long cold.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I haven't live in one yet, but being in these houses, I think they are very accessible and would be a nice place to live within the next few years.

4 College Freshman

Computers: As of right now, I have not had much work to be done on the computer, and it makes me wonder why I went out and bought my own laptop.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Kind of typical unless you are willing to drive about half an hour or longer.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I haven't had time to attend very many events, but our sports are very important and everyone supports our teams whether attending the games or not.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: As I mentioned earlier, the campus is very accepting and willing to connect.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The custodian who cleans my floor isn't the best, but I guess it is better than cleaning it myself.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Although it would be great to receive a little more financial aid, they were very understanding and easy to work with in order to receive financial aid.

4 College Freshman

Parking: It's been great and easy to park at the school, considering I live on campus. I don't like how far away the parking garage is though.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love how open and caring the professors are for the students, I feel more like a name, rather than a number. Everyone is very nice and polite and I enjoy how you can stop on campus and have a conversation with anyone because we are all open and accepting.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Very close to country club plaza! Great places to eat

3 College Junior

Transportation: You don't need transportation on campus because it is a small school but you will need a car to go off campus.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: It's a small school in the city so it is not easily accessible.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: You have to have your own transportation, that of a friend, or call a taxi/ride the bus.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: A little expensive but many options to choose from.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Rockhurst provides a great learning experience. Class sizes are small, and the professors actually get to know the students.
