College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I haven't received my financial aid award letter yet.

Overall Experience: My only "favorite" experience is my reading class. The students are great and so is the instructor. She is AWESOME. I look forward to class every day. However, it is almost impossible getting anything done with the office staff. The hours are very inconvenient along with the book store. I am not an online shopper so taking time off of work to go to the campus is a pain.

College Freshman

Academic Experience: I haven't started any classes for my major yet.

Academic Experience: So far, I have taken three classes at RVC. My first instructor for my first math class was great. Very knowledgable and friendly and showed great attention to her students. My second math teacher showed hardly any interest and getting in touch with him was useless. Halfway through the semester he disabled his email and there was no way of getting in touch with him. It's not like he ever responded to half of the students that emailed him either. All I can say about my reading instructor is she deserves the teacher of the month every month for every year she is a teacher.

Online Courses: I haven' taken any online courses.

College Freshman

Facilities: I haven't visited any other school campuses.

College Freshman

Career Services: I haven't looked into this yet.

College Freshman

Campus Resources: I am not involved in campus activities because I work full time and attend classes at night.

Campus Resources: I love the computer lab at the ERC center. I always have a computer I can work on if I need it.

Student Body: Some of the other students are very whiney and complain a lot about the professors not letting them out of class early when things are done early. I have had a few instances where a few students will need to speak with the professor after class and no one will wait their turn and think that their questions are more important than others. Student body is downright rude here in Rockford.

Academic Flexibility: They strive on "working adults" going to school but the academic advising and office staff are only available during my work hours. It was a big hassle to have to take time off of work just to go to the campus and get my student password for the eagle network. A lot of changes have to be made "in person" and I have to take time off of work to do the important things. I'm going to have to quit my full-time job just to take the classes I need for my degree but I can't do that until I have reduced almost all of my bills. I can get two part-time jobs but I have rent to pay, a car payment, insurance, heat, electric etc. It's very risky and I'll have to get state assistance just to eat and pay bills all so I can attend the classes that are hardly available to us "working adults". Great school great affordability but tooth-pulling class and staff availability.

Career Services: Great start for attending college. I love it!!!!!!

3 College Student

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is fair and aid is easily accessible

3 College Student

Campus Resources: There are lots of clubs and stuff but there aren't many places to eat. Also the library is set up weird so it's hard to find anything

2 College Student

Campus Resources: It's next to impossible to get online and stay logged in. Plus the labs are always full so it really is necessary to have a personal computer and printer

5 College Student

Online Courses: The workload is manageable and the professor/ students are fantastic

3 College Student

Facilities: It's pretty good for a 2 year school

College Student

Academic Experience: I'm actually undecided so I'm just taking general classes

3 College Student

Academic Experience: The classes are as good as I'd expect a 2 year school to be

3 College Freshman

Facilities: Not very social, but it gets you the credits you need to advance into future opportunities

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Everything is easily accessible if you need it, a lot of people don't use the resources but they are definitely there.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I always have an internet connection, but rarely have to use to the computer labs.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: People don't try to make new friends or make new social groups because they don't have to and they just go home rather than living with the people.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I really came here as a stepping stone to a four year degree. Now I know what and where I want to go.
