Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
  • Ask around!
  • Don't be afraid to stop at local businesses and ask for applications. Most local businesses hire student workers and work with their available hours!
  • Go to the Career Development office. They will help you with filling out applications and writing your resume. They also have job postings and questionnaires for students who want to find out what fields of work might fit them best. Another perk is the alumni connections. They have access to alumni who are willing to help and mentor students or give them internships. The Career Development office also sends out emails when it's offering workshops or has new internships.
  • Talk to your professors and department heads because they might have internships or jobs open or know of people who do.
