Ripon is quite good about providing for its students when it comes to computers or Internet access. There are several labs around campus: Kemper, the Collaborative Learning Center (CLC), the library, as well as labs in academic departments. Wherever there is a printer on campus, printing is free! There are printers in all of the labs, as well. The only color printer on campus is in the library, and in order to print there, you must inform the person working at the desk that you've printed something and then he or she grabs it for you.
There is Wi-Fi in most common places on campus such as the Commons, the Union/Pub, the library, and most academic buildings. There are also lounges in each residence hall that have Wi-Fi. So while you might not be able to access Wi-Fi from your room, there is a lounge in each res hall that has it. There are also Ethernet jacks in each room for each student. Students can purchase an Ethernet cable before coming to campus or on campus in the college bookstore, and then plug their laptop or computer into the cable that plugs in to the wall and receive Internet that way, as well. While a majority of students has laptops on campus, it is not a necessity. Some have desktops or nothing at all, and they just rely on computers around campus for any Internet or computer needs.
