4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: It's a small city full of culture and adventure.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: As a local, it is great if you know where to go or are entertained with just casual outings with friends. Most other students are looking for more lively clubs or college-kid hangouts though.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Is has a fair amount of things a student can do when they're not too busy with schoolwork. Be it beaches, St. Armand's Circle to go shopping or out to eat. One really nice place is Yummy House that is really close to the campus.

5 College Student

Local Atmosphere: Sarasota is a very artsy city with lots to do. The Ringling Museum is amazing with rotating exhibits as well as permanent exhibits. The Museum grounds are a beautiful place to have a picnic. Main Street in Sarasota is a fun place to hang out with friends and have coffee and a pastry at the Pastry Arts Cafe. St. Armand's Circle is a great place to take a walk and get some ice cream after a day at the beach. If you like the performing arts you can attend a play or concert at the Asolo Theater. And if you didn't know, Sarasota is a Circus Community. Circus Sarasota has shows throughout the year at a reasonable cost. You can enjoy an evening watching the aerialists fly through the air.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: It's okay - Sarasota has some sketchy areas and quite a lot of old people, so stay close to campus.
