Overall Experience: It's okay under the right conditions. Pos: Small school, faculty is willing to work with you if the majority has a problem, you get your BSN in one year, the teachers are nice and do help you. The clinical instructors for the most part are great!! The hospitals we get to do clinicals at are awesome, but we do them overnight in one of the quarters.

Cons: The majority (except for one) of the professors are not consistent. Meaning most are not! Their tests are always biased and terrible and cause controversy. The professors, for the most part, teach off slides..endless slides...and mainly read from them and the book in front of class. Most of the time, the test never match the endless power point lectures. There are maybe 2 that actually walk around and know what they are talking about. The school is not regionally accredited so going to a master or DNP program at a Florida state college is not happening. You'll have to go private or move.

You WILL be frustrated going here. I promise you!! I promise you! I promise you! You Will have at least one minor breakdown!! I promise you. However, I feel the program is very tailored to the meat and potatoes of nursing and is doable. I think that the curriculum is excellent - but without effective tests and teachers it is all for nothing. Overall, I would not recommend this school unless you have a doctor in your family that can help you hone down the concepts or a nurse or NP. I would take it if you are an extremely strong person mentally and if you have medical experience. Anyone else, if an alternate program is 2 years but established I would go that route. I wish I did looking back.
