2 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Not the best part of town.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere is good. With the different seasons such as winter, spring, and summer there are always activities around to do.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Although not within walking distance (especially during the snowy months), Professional baseball and football teams are relatively close by. There are some smaller restaurants and fastfood close by and within walking distance.

I really enjoy the downtown area, a lot of things to do (shopping, people watch, museums, historical places) and a lot fo food choices.

The locals have been very friendly and welcoming. I do feel relatively safe both on and off campus.

College Junior

Local Atmosphere: I do not live in the Denver area, but I would consider living there.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Denver is a fantastic city with tons to offer!!! With the mountains so close you can enjoy hiking and biking, the city is full of great restaurants and venues, plus there is plenty to do in the surrounding towns without having to go to far but still get that "small town" feel.

There are some areas to avoid in North Denver near Regis, so walking anywhere that is a bit of a distance is not recommended. But, overall, the city is a diverse area with great activities, all within a close distance to downtown. Check out any of the bars, theaters, and museums in the heart of Denver and don't forget about the Rocky Mountains! Downtown Denver can be a lot of fun, and you can check out the Nuggets, Rockies, Broncos, or Avalanche.

Denver always has events and activities going on throughout the school year. If you are 21 and want to go to the bars downtown, a cab ride from the University is about $15, which isn't too bad. The downtown atmosphere is exhilarating and lively, especially on the 16th Street Mall, which has lots of restaurants and stores.
