4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: I love eating off campus. There are a number of cute little restaurants and cafes in town, plus the typical chains.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: There are a number of rules, but they do not hamper anyone's fun. There are just safety rules so no one gets hurt or in trouble.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: The professors are wonderful. They are always willing to help, and have your best interest in mind. I love the small class sizes too because students get more immediate attention.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The career center finds excellent internship opportunities, as well as guidance for students who are considering their career path. Some students do not take advantage of this, however, you definitely reap the benefits if you do.

4 College Senior

Athletics: Basically everyone goes to the football games; especially the Hampden-Sydney game at the end of the season. Basketball is attended fairly well, too. The other sports do not have as high of attendance but usually always have fans.

2 College Senior

Campus Dining: The food isn't that great. On several occasions, I have received uncooked food from the dining services. I know of several students who experienced food poisoning from the food. The overall review from the student body is very poor.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Finding the housing isn't the problem, however, the housing department prefers students to live on campus so trying to get around the rules and regulations of living off campus is the hard part.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Most guys I've met are great! I met my boyfriend at Macon, so I guess they all can't be that bad :)

3 College Senior

Nightlife: On campus parties have decreased since I began college, but that may also have to do with a number of fraternities in trouble and my more selective tastes now.

4 College Senior

Diversity: There is a bit of diversity on campus; definitely continues to improve!

5 College Senior

Facilities: Most student life buildings are very new (within the last 5 years). Everything is modern with a lot of options of things to do.

5 College Senior

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe walking on or around campus. Everything is well-lit and the campus safety officers are more than willing to assist if need be.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Most everyone has money and most people are accepting to who I am. I really don't see to many issues with other students.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are several places to eat and shop, I really don't shop to much but love to eat out.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Ashland is a very cute town and there are several places to eat and shop.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: I actually came to the college to play softball. This was hard to balance practice and school work. I was able to manage this for my first year but I will not be playing the next year. In playing a sport I will be missing out on so much more the college has to offer. This will only benefit my future career. I love softball and this was a very hard dession but softball will not pay my bills.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The college is very expensive and I need financial aid. They did offer more then any other college I was accepted to however, I still have to pay a lot. I hope its worth it.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: All the professors are very willing to help you get focused and make the best grades possible.

I really feel like they care.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: There is always something to do.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The new dorms are the cleanest and most expensive. The oldest dorm has not AC. not good for someone with allergies.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I am just in the beginning stages in getting into the programs available. I have no problems yet.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The internships will help me get my experience that employers will be looking for.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: There are several new buildings and the rules are very strict.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Everyone is clean cut and properly dressed.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: I would rather eat out.
