Greek Life: not much Greek life, but I think that's better.

Greek Life: I am not part of the greek life at school but i know it can be expensive to join and it is a lot of work between planning activities and spending time with your brothers/sisters. They do not have specific housing on campus so some frats/sororities will rent houses off campus and some of them are pretty bad. They can throw good parties but for people to go to these they have to go off campus and that can be dangerous.

Greek Life: i don't think anyone really cares if you are apart of greek life or not. people don't treat greeks differently because they are greeks

College Sophomore

Greek Life: I am not interested in Greek life and have no knowledge of how it works.

Despite the fact that there is no exclusive Greek housing on campus (or off campus), Greek life is consistently popular at Ramapo. There are multiple frats and sororities, including some military frats and race-specific frats and sororities. All fraternities and sororities are by nature required to provide campus services and organize fundraising events. Prospective members can apply through the school's faculty or through the fraternity or sorority members themselves.

Prospective Greek life members should be aware that Greek life comes with no special privileges at Ramapo, and you will not get special selection with housing or class registration. Those looking to join would be advised to look at all of the options available to them, as the many fraternities and sororities vary in purpose and intensity. Many of the fraternities (and sororities) have rigorous admission processes, and many of them cater to only a certain type of individual. At a larger school, this may make the atmosphere more brotherly; at Ramapo, it makes it more exclusive.
