3 College Senior

Campus Dining: The food can be harsh on your stomach for the first week of eating it. Sometimes they can have really good nights, but most of the time its the same stuff. Its not horrible though

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: not great but probably better than a lot of places

1 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The dining hall closes before dinner time even begins in the average household. There are only 2 small dining halls on campus and the food is disgusting, unhealthy, and has laxatives in it- it gives everyone stomach problems and is not worth the money at all.

2 College Senior

Campus Dining: It goes right through you and you can tell they do not care much about constant quality food.

2 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The food here is not that good. It is all greasy and there are not that many options. Also the availability is horrible. On the weekends the dinning halls are barley open so we usually have to eat something in our room.

Ramapo offers several different meal plans, which vary in cost and amount of meals per week. The Ultimate meal plan offers unlimited meals per week at any of the dining halls and $50 in flex cash for the semester, which students can use at the convenience store on campus or in the Atrium Pay Café. The Super 14 meal plan offers 14 meals and $100 flex cash, the Tasty 10 offers 10 meals and $200 flex cash, and the Sensible 6 offers six meals per week and $450 flex cash. Any student can add flex cash at any point during the semester, regardless of a meal plan. Many students who live in the apartments on campus prefer to not have a meal plan and cook for themselves instead, utilizing flex cash only if they need it.

Ramapo College has two main dining halls open to all students with meal plans: the Birch Tree Inn and the Trustees Pavilion. Their menus differ from each other on a daily basis, although the food that is served at one is quite similar to the food served at the other—neither is better nor worse. Opinion on the campus food tends to be relatively low, but students must try it for themselves before forming an opinion. The Atrium Pay Café offers non-meal plan food that must be purchased either with flex money or regular cash, and is closer to a food court than a cafeteria.
