Academics: In my opinion, Queens has the best professors. They are all very kind and helpful, and you can tell that they genuinely want to do what they can to help you succeed. The curriculum and workload is fair, and all professors are good about providing you with a syllabus at the beginning of the semester.

Academics: The education program at Queens is great. My favorite thing about it is that you get experience in the classroom starting in your freshman year, and by senior year you will take part in a year long internship. I love all of the hands on experience because I feel that the best way to learn how to be a teacher is to actually work with students.

Facilities: Queens spends a lot of time keeping their aesthetics and green spaces looking their best. For example, the grass is cut daily and plants such as trees and flowers are well kept. The library is a great resource and provides adequate space for studying. I feel like the staff could do more to keep students from being too loud or playing music in quiet areas, but at least they offer ear plugs now.

Campus Dining: Queens offers four different places to dine on campus. I eat most meals in the dining hall and while I don't have many complaints, I do believe that there could be a greater variety of options. There are multiple stations set up in the dining hall but there are many days when the same food is offered at all stations, which limits choices. I also rarely see much variety in what is offered to vegetarians.

Facilities: my university spends an immence amount of money in its lawn care, that being said, our facilities are really nice

Diversity: my school focuses alot on building a community around its students. from freshman orientation to graduation the entire student body is encouraged to be together and mingle. there is a strong sense of belonging that comes with being a student at my university.

3 College Junior

Academics: my school puts much more financial investment into its lawn care and asthetic fasique than its academic buildings and study rooms.

Academics: the nice thing about the nursing program at my school is that all your professors, from the start to the end, are the exact same. they all work with you to make learn difficult material feel less stressful.

Facilities: Student life is great until the weekend hits, then it's mostly dead. However I think it's expected since most people don't get up until 11 because that when the cafe opens on the weekend. Mostly everyone leaves campus to hangout or do something fun in uptown or in concord. I know a bunch of people get together and go hiking. You see many students hanging out in front of Trexler, Levine, and laying out on the grass in front of the clock tower if it's a good day out.

Facilities: Well, students are often spotting Ryan Lochte who swims here frequently. And, the Evan Bell Clock Tower is actually a cell phone tower in disguise so cell phone reception should be 20/20 except in the basement of some buildings. The social scene is fun because we get such a high number of international students. They bring a glimpse of their culture and it can be pretty entertaining introducing them to common things in America. The art scene here in Charlotte is awesome.

Athletics: There's talk of having a football team, but Queens is mainly about soccer, lacrosse, swimming, and track & field. Our homecoming week is dedicated to basketball. The guys are pretty good but the girls could use some work but hear that's on the coach.

We just got the new Levine center but there are still a few kinks. The second dance room isn't/ wasn't finished but there's a variety of classes they offer. Hopefully they add more soon.

Campus Strictness: The only subjects they tend to be extremely touchy and strict on is animals in the dorm, underage drinking, drugs, and academics. They want you to be your best and have fun, but also be safe about it. Even though they're strict about drinking, the do put the students' health first before any disciplinary action is taken.

Off-Campus Dining: With Queens being in a city such as Charlotte, it makes things very diverse and a lot more interesting. Charlotte is one of the most diverse cities I would say. It has dining options anywhere from Greek to Mexican. When it comes to student discounts, we as students aren't really aware of what restaurants exactly give students discounts. And when it comes to cost, it just depends on what you want and where that is a matter of a personal choice.

Weather: The weather around campus has been crazy lately. For example, one day it can be really cold and the next day it can be 70 degrees outside and sunshine or it can just start raining. But, I think that has been everywhere recently.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I have only heard by others that there are drugs going around campus or that certain people do them but never have I seen it or have been offered any.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: I am part of a Greek organization, a sorority, to me non-Greeks and Greeks get along just fine. At Queens you are not discriminated if you are or aren't in a sorority or fraternity. Also, Greek life is very welcoming and diverse at Queens. The social atmosphere might be a little different for Greeks because of mixers and socials that are offered through out the year but a non-Greek can be invited and come along as well. The housing though, isn't different at all since at Queens University the Greeks have lodges and not houses therefore they live in a regular dorm just like anybody else.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The financial aid office was helpful in getting me the most funds available, but it has required some following up from myself and my parents to push the envelope for the financial help. The finance office is late to send bills for lab fees or other fees that may prevent you from registering for classes.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I love the Biology program at Queens. I hope to become a sports nutritionist and have my own practice.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Charlotte has a variety of restaurants around campus from mellow mushroom pizza to taco bell and jason's deli, to a breakfast place called the flying buiscut. The cost is pretty affordable as well as being convenient and quick. Some restaurants offer student discounts, but not all.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Campus police could approach certain situations differently to achieve a more mannerly and non hostile result.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Being a biology major is most definitely a heavy workload that puts you up against obstacles, but it gets easier with the help of our many quality doctors and professors at Queens. Rogers Science Building has been open for 3 full semesters now. This building provides tons of resources for students taking on their own independent studies. Not to mention the building is beautiful.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There are a number of bars and clubs located in uptown Charlotte. The most popular nights for college students to be out are Thursday-Saturday. Most students can get in underage.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Charlotte is a great city to grow up in and to create a life in. The transition from city to suburbs to country side is smooth. The people are nice with a touch of southern charm (depending on where you are). There are many opportunities in Charlotte for jobs and internships as well.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather in Charlotte can fluctuate by season. The summers are hot and rainy, autumn is beautiful with the changing of the leaves. Winters are usually cold, but snowfall is minimal. Springs is beautiful leading up to summer.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Alcohol is the most used and abused drug by students at Queens. Most students only use it on nights where they plan to go uptown to night clubs or bars. If you are caught drinking under the age of 21, there are consequences. Someone who obtains a drinking violation will usually go in front of the honor council, and the most common punishment is to take an alcohol 101 class.
