3 College Senior

Majors: Most internships are sale position, which is not great.

4 College Senior

Diversity: It is very divert at PSU. You can meet people from more than 100 countries at PSU.

2 College Senior

Weather: Rain most of the time, less sunshine. I need Vitamin D.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: A great variety. I love the food carts because they are cheap and convenient.

4 College Senior

Nightlife: There are a lot of places to go at night, especially when you are willing to spend a little money.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: It is good to have some rules so everyone could respect each other.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: You will miss a lot of activities living off campus.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: It is expensive to live on campus, but it is worth it.

4 College Senior

Drug Safety: No drug, no alcohol should be allowed on campus for student sake.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: It is downtown, I assume that we should be careful and have the cell phone ready.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: The school has many social events for students who live on campus so it's a great way to meet people.

1 College Junior

Weather: When it's cold and rainy it's terrible! You have to walk outside to get to the building the classroom is in and a lot of the campus is outside

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: PSU isn't really a party school. Some of the dorms are more known for their parties, but the main problem is that almost everyone smokes pot so it stinks up the whole building.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Parking is the worst thing at the school. It's extremely expensive and if you're 1 minuet late you may get a $30 parking ticket.

3 College Junior

Computers: Sometimes the internet connection can be slow, but there are a lot of computers on campus and the ability to print there is nice.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I met my current roommates while living in on campus housing, but there was no help from PSU to find off campus housing.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Public transportation is great! But personally driving around is a hassle

4 College Junior

Diversity: PSU has so many diverse people and support for everyone.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I don't think many students pay attention to the sports at PSU

4 College Junior

Scholarships: They are very quick with the process, when I did have an issue they fixed it up really fast

3 College Sophomore

Computers: Lot of labs around campus and wifi printing (up to 500 B&W prints in your quota per term). But if you're trying to find a spot in the library, it's usually packed. The PCs are old and slow, but there are a couple (VERY FEW) Macs on campus which are almost always taken. Laptops are available for rent at 3hr blocks at the library as well.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: Don't really have a large selection. Noticed that most students major in health sciences (pre-med, pre-dental, etc) or engineering. Not many options for liberal arts.

College Sophomore

Majors: There are really no application processes for different programs. The only ones I know of are for the Business School and the Music Program.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of cheap apartment options a little away from the actual campus, but no one has a problem with commuting because public transportation is quite convenient. The city is obviously a bit more expensive, but not to bad compared to larger cities like Seattle, or Boston.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Portland has a very unique vibe. It's very natural and the people are all for Organic goods and biking. The campus is on the edge of the city, yet it is decorated with a lot of trees and green space. However, the city is not too large. It's pretty safe, albeit a large population of homeless wander the city, but I am a 20 year female. I've walked the city alone at night multiple times with no problem (but then again, I am told I am recklessly brave, or simply ignorant). There are not very many things to do if you are under 21. The usual things like movies, bowling and shopping are about it. On the plus side, Portland has an excellent food culture and you never run out of new, delicious and unique places to try from breakfast, to fine dining or local bakeries and coffee shops.
