Student Body: The student body is very dedicated and hard-working. Most are raising families and working part time while going to school full time. So there is not a whole lot of interaction outside of the campus because of very busy personal lives.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: The students are a mix of "I'm just here for a major so I can get a better job" and "I really love my school! Go PCC!" an oversimplification of course, but there do appear to be a lot of those extremes there.

4 College Senior

Student Body: The students make the campus a great environment.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I'm taking on line classes and as far as I can tell the student taking classes online are a very diverse student body, from all ages and walks of life.

College Junior

Student Body: I take online classes so I have no idea

The student body at Portland Community College is pretty diverse. You will find all kinds of students of all ages and walks of life. There are many international students from all over, including such countries as France, China, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Mexico.

While every student is different, the one thing that unites each and every one of them is the goal to further one's education. Also, most students are very welcoming, friendly, and approachable. However, one of the drawbacks to so many unique students focused on getting an education is that it can be hard to socialize with each other, since most people just go to class and go home.
