4 College Junior

Career Services: The career center is one of the most helpful areas at the school. When it comes to having any questions or difficulties about any given topic, there are multiple people and resources provided to help.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The athletic centers located on campus are hard to access even when you are an athlete. In my opinion, athletes should be able to access the weight room, field, gym, or stadium at anytime during school hours.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Many online classes at Porterville College use a helpfull website known as Moodle, where students turn in their work and also commincate with eachother and their professor.

3 College Junior

Career Services: We have a program that helps students get jobs but so far I have had no such luck.

1 College Junior

Online Courses: Online courses are so much more difficult, you can't always reach an instructor when you need to, it's harder to concentrate on my work, there's a much larger workload, some classes just don't do well online.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am a Business Administration student, because of my major I have been opened up to so many things and programs such as the JEC, which helps students decide their major, help them with resumes, job interviews and so on. I've been to a major event and was a speaker for the event and I became part of the college's President's Leadership society.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: It's limited, as it is a small community college and not every course I need is available every semester and it can be really hard to get into classes.

3 Recent Alumnus

Student Body: The student body consist of a wide variety of people on the campus and everyone respects the diversity.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Flexibility: You have to make sure the classes you are taking are transferable to the university wanting to attend accepts them.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: In the agriculture major it is a good path to explore careers within the agriculture field. Like any other major it is all about how much effort is put in to the course.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: It is easy to register for classes online but you have to do it quick in order to get the right classes for you.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: Every on campus resource is easily accessed if you know where to go for what you need.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: The computer commons is the best place to do work on the computers and it has easy access to load print card. The wireless network is reliable.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It wasn't my first option for which school to attend, but given that, I can fulfill my gen. ed. requirements here and then transfer.

College Freshman

Career Services: I have never used any of these facilities.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: Racially, the campus is not that diverse.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: As a nursing major I can not get the BSN that I want, but I can take classes that will transfer to a BSN program on another campus.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Class registration is a nightmare as counselors are "not available" to meet with students.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Library and computer commons are accessible and available

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The cost of printing is high

College Freshman

Online Courses: I have never taken an online course

4 College Freshman

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Between Financial Aid and Fee Waivers, I have no out of pocket expense.
