4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I have always felt very safe on campus. I mean sure, could someone get in and could something happen if the person was really determined? Sure. But the same can be said for the majority of college campuses across the country. The difference between my campus and some other, in my opinion, is that Point Park is a small school and so its easier to look out for student safety. The school also takes safety very seriously, and I have always known that if something happened, or if I was feeling unsafe at any time, I could get in touch with someone and be taken care of.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: My campus is downtown in a city. The entire student body is constantly getting e-mails alerting everyone to stay inside because an awful crime has been committed a few blocks away. For that reason, campus police probably patrol my college's campus a lot more than most colleges; however, they are slow to respond if there is an incident and they are not immediately on the premises when it happens.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Crimes do occur around campus because we are downtown. There are plenty of security guards and cops, but it is still bothersome at times.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel extremely safe on campus. Most everything I need is in relative walking distance to the school so I never have to go to far to go out to eat, get groceries, go shopping, etc. I am also notified from campus police via text and email whenever there is a campus alert. It is reassuring to know that the police are aware and on the lookout for harm to the students, as the school is located in a downtown area.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus police are tentative in responding to issues, big or small. The hours for the health center (nurse) are limited, but I think it is being worked on.
