Career Services: They start from the very beginning so that you can take all the classes, and make sure that if you need certain classes or certifcates to qulitfy for a job you get them while in school and they really do care.

Academic Flexibility: Classes are Monday thru Friday from 8 am to 2:30 pm everyday, and with this school you can not miss time. It is a FAA regulation that all missed time must be made up, because it is a 1900 hour course.

Career Services: You will have basic math, algebra, physics, and a few other basic classes. A good foundation for completing this program and then, going on. There is a lot of shop work, and hands on here.

Student Body: The school has a large diversity of students, different races, females, and no one is discriminated agaist. this school does not tolerate any racist remarks or actions. The student body here it is like a big family, classes are small and everybody gets to know everybody else. Most of the students are young just out of high school but there are a large number of older adults who are taking the training to further their careers or change careers, due to job markets where they live. This program helps in many job markets not just aeronautics, but mechanics of many different kinds.

Career Services: Around graduation they help students with locating jobs, the PIA alumni are ever present in the field of aviation, and the market for A&P licenced workers is in high demand. Jobs call looking you you if you, just keep good grades and a good attitude.

Campus Resources: We are located by a airport and work on planes, last time i checked most people go to college and only work on essays. what sounds like more fun.

2 College Senior

Campus Resources: It is a Government regulated school, no sports, no activities. Just straight to the point workshops and studies.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Out campus has wireless access, and computer labs, free printing and we never have network issues. The downside is no electronics can be in use during class including Lab tops and tablet. So get pen and paper ready.

College Senior

Online Courses: It is a FAA regulated school with no online classes.

Academic Flexibility: Pittsburgh institute of aeronotics was the ideal school for me because of its fast-track program towards employment with a Airframe and Powerplant licence. It may not be the most felxable with class scheduling but a year and a half of sacrificing 8 hours of your day is worth it if you understand that the outcome will be rewarding. The credits are transferable and the registration was simple the staff is will to walk you through it and give your your options.

Tuition & Financial Aid: its an easy course if your into it, the class size is small, and makes it better

Academic Experience: Most work is hands on and the grade reflects how well you follow directions and how organized you are with your work. Paper work is graded according to the regulations provided by the FAA. It also reflect your understanding of the content that is taught in class.

College Senior

Campus Resources: This is a tech school. It is located at an airport. There are classrooms, a lunch room, and a hanger full of planes.

3 College Senior

Student Body: The student body is mainly white males. There are some women that attend the school and also some black males. Everyone gets along very well, and each graduating class is almost like a family. The average class size is 20 persons, give or take. The class starting in the fall is always larger, consisting of younger less experienced kids out of high school; whereas the summer starting class is smaller and seems to be mid-20s guys most of which have prior military experience.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The school is expensive in my opinion, not only in tuition cost but also in tool and book expenses. It does seem that there are a lot of opportunities for a good wage after school so I do not worry about paying off student loans, however it is a fiscal burden during school.

As far as the financial aid office... the school is small and so is the administration. Everyone knows everyone else, but there seem to be an abundance of financial aid administrators and I don't know what any of them do. Best advice is pick one person and bring any and all issues to that person.

2 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: There really is no flexibility as far as class times, the school is structured more as a full time job. School runs from 8-230 five days a week. Due to FAA requirements and school policy, attendance is mandatory and time missed has to be made up.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: instructors are very helpful students from earlier classes are always around to help and there is a lot of hands on learning.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: i am going for my amt license, and my classes are what is to be expected of me. they are all to the point and no useless information is given out. all of the courses relate directly to the intended out come and are there only to push other students and myself closer to achieving my license.

3 College Junior

Student Body: i would say this is an average for all six quarters.

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's Strictly Business – For what it's worth, you're going to PIA for a reason. To get a degree and get a job. Nothing more. Very fast paced, terrible class schedule, not much freedom. But like I said, if you're their for an education, you'll get one.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: School Expierience – This school is different from other schools because you don't have to go through all the lecturing in class. The first three quarters are all throry of aviation, but the last four quarters are all hands-on with whatever your major is.
